Every JIHE object is sourced directly from the artisan, their studio, or their officially authorised workshop. We do not buy from wholesalers, resellers, or antique markets. Every object arrives with The JIHE Book — a hand-stitched booklet that documents the maker, the origin, the material, and the process.

Originals. Every piece is made by hand by the named maker. Heritage Craft pieces are production works — the same form made repeatedly by the same artisan. Masterworks are limited editions or one-of-a-kind pieces. We do not sell reproductions, copies, or factory-made imitations.
We work with makers who meet at least one of these criteria:
Every maker is vetted in person. We visit their workshop, observe their process, and verify their materials and techniques.
The JIHE Yearbook is an annual publication that documents every Masterwork sold that year — the maker, the piece, the edition number, and the buyer's first name and country (with permission). The Yearbook serves as a public record of provenance that travels with the piece if it is ever resold.
The JIHE Book and signed certificate should travel with the piece. We can provide a provenance transfer letter on request. For high-value resales, we can also act as intermediary — contact us at hello@jiheobjects.com.
For Masterworks collectors, we can arrange studio visits by appointment. This is typically a half-day trip from Shanghai or Hangzhou. Contact us to arrange.
