Bamboo That Has Been Dried for Three Years

Anji bamboo is harvested in winter when the moisture content is lowest. After cutting, it is dried for three years before turning. This prevents cracking and gives the bamboo a warm, honey-toned patina. The holder is finished with a light coat of natural wax — no stain, no paint.

How to Live with It

A daily presence.

Place it on a bedside table or a low shelf. Light one stick of incense as part of your evening transition — the moment between the day's work and the night's rest. The bamboo absorbs scent faintly; over time, it will carry a trace of your preferred incense.
