Best for: Weekend tea with a friend
A flat bamboo tray for tea preparation — wide enough for a teapot and two cups, light enough to move from kitchen to table. The slatted surface lets tea drain through.
This tray is made using traditional bamboo joinery — no nails, no screws. The slats are fitted into grooved rails and secured with bamboo pins. The surface is sanded to a smooth finish and treated with food-safe natural wax.
Use it as a tea station — set it on a low table or the floor. Place your teapot and cups on the tray; spilled tea drains through the slats into a removable pan beneath. After tea, simply pour the water out and wipe dry.
Seven questions answered: What is it? Where does it come from? How was it made? Why is it beautiful? How do you use it? Why this one? How do you care for it?
