Wide bowls are harder to throw than tall ones — the centrifugal force works against you. This bowl is thrown in two stages: first the base, then the wall is opened and pulled outward. The celadon glaze pools at the edges during firing, creating a gradient from pale green to deep jade.
Fill it with 2–3 cm of water and float a single flower head — a camellia, a peony petal, a gardenia. Place it on a low table or a coffee table where you can look down into it. Change the water daily and the flower every two days.
